Privacy Policy & Terms of Use

Effective date: January 1, 2026 · Last updated: March 1, 2026 · Applies to immaculatecharityinc.org and related communications.

IMMACULATE CHARITY HANDS OF GOD INC (“ICHG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a U.S. Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 87-3605552). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit our website, donate, volunteer, request services, or otherwise interact with us. By using our site, you acknowledge this Policy. For privacy questions, contact admin@immaculatecharityinc.org.

1. Who We Are & Scope

We operate as a nonprofit humanitarian organization providing crisis helpline triage, emergency food and shelter support, mental wellness referrals, and youth educational mentoring primarily in Bronx, NY, USA. This Policy covers information collected online through our website forms, newsletter tools, donation interfaces, volunteer intake, cookies and similar technologies, and offline information later associated with digital records (for example, donor receipts emailed after a gift).

Our registered correspondence address is 1725 Mansion Avenue Apt 1, Bronx, NY 10460, United States. Principal Officer: Kelechi Ihemadu. Official email: admin@immaculatecharityinc.org. This Policy is intended to satisfy transparency expectations for Google Ad Grants and general nonprofit best practice; it is not legal advice.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide, information collected automatically when you use our site, and limited information from service providers acting on our behalf.

Information you provide: name; email address; phone number (if supplied); mailing address; donation amounts and dedication notes; employer matching-gift details; volunteer skills and availability; messages describing support needs; and any files or narrative details you choose to include in forms.

Information collected automatically: IP address; browser type and version; device type; referring URLs; pages viewed; approximate location derived from IP; date/time stamps; and cookie identifiers. If we enable Google Analytics or similar tools, aggregated usage metrics may also be processed as described in Section 4.

Sensitive program information: If you request crisis support, you may share health, housing, or family circumstances. We treat such information as confidential program data, limit access to staff and trained volunteers with a need to know, and do not use it for marketing.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to: respond to inquiries and service requests; operate the 24/7 helpline triage workflow; schedule food, shelter, and youth program participation; process donations and issue tax receipts; administer volunteer onboarding; send newsletters or operational updates you opt into; improve website usability and accessibility; maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse; comply with IRS recordkeeping and Form 990 / 990-N obligations; and fulfill legal duties (for example, responding to lawful requests).

We do not sell personal information. We do not rent donor lists. We do not share personal data with third parties for their independent marketing.

4. Cookies, Analytics & Google Services

Essential cookies enable core site functions such as remembering cookie-consent choices and maintaining form session integrity. These cookies are necessary for the site to operate as intended.

Analytics cookies (including Google Analytics, if enabled) help us understand aggregate traffic patterns—which pages are visited, how visitors navigate, and whether technical errors occur. Google may process data according to its own policies. Where required, we configure IP anonymization or comparable privacy controls and honor browser signals to the extent technically feasible.

Google Ad Grants compliance: If we advertise through Google Ad Grants, landing pages linked from ads will contain accurate organization information, working navigation, a clear privacy policy (this page), and no deceptive practices. We do not use ads to collect personal data under false pretenses.

You may control cookies through your browser settings. Declining non-essential cookies may limit analytics but will not prevent you from reading program information or contacting us by email.

5. Donor Privacy Guarantee

Donors are the lifeblood of emergency relief. We commit to the following Donor Privacy Guarantee:

  • We never sell or rent donor names, contact details, or giving histories.
  • We never share donor information with other organizations for their fundraising without your explicit consent.
  • Donation payment card details are processed by PCI-compliant processors (such as Stripe or PayPal pathways); we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Tax receipts and acknowledgment emails are sent only for legitimate gift administration.
  • You may request to be removed from non-essential fundraising appeals by emailing admin@immaculatecharityinc.org with the subject line “Donor Privacy Opt-Out.”

Public recognition (for example, listing a corporate sponsor tier) occurs only with permission or when recognition is an expected feature of a sponsorship agreement you accept.

6. How We Share & Safeguard Information

We may share information with: service providers who host our website, process forms/email, process payments, or provide IT security—under contracts requiring appropriate confidentiality; professional advisors (legal, accounting) as needed for compliance; and authorities when required by law or to protect the safety of a person in imminent danger, consistent with applicable mandatory reporting rules.

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards reasonable for a small nonprofit, including access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS/SSL), and staff guidance on handling confidential client notes. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; if you believe your information was compromised through our systems, contact us immediately at admin@immaculatecharityinc.org.

7. Your Rights (CCPA, GDPR & Similar Laws)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of personal information we hold about you; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know categories of data collected and to request deletion, subject to legal exceptions (for example, donation records we must retain for IRS purposes).

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or a jurisdiction with GDPR-like rules, our processing of website analytics and contact forms is generally based on legitimate interests in operating a nonprofit website and responding to requests, or on consent where required for non-essential cookies. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

To exercise rights, email admin@immaculatecharityinc.org with “Privacy Request” in the subject line and enough detail for us to verify and fulfill your request. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

8. Children’s Privacy, Retention, Changes & Contact

Children: Our website is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without appropriate parental consent. Youth program enrollment for minors is handled with caregiver involvement. If you believe a child provided information inappropriately, contact us and we will delete it promptly where required.

Retention: We retain donor and accounting records for periods required by IRS and state charity rules; program case notes for as long as needed to deliver services and meet audit obligations; and website logs for a limited operational period unless a longer period is required for security investigations.

Third-party links: Our site may link to external resources (maps, social platforms, payment processors). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes: We may update this Policy to reflect legal, technical, or operational changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
